Kennedy was a lot braver about the "idea" of swimming than she was when the real moment of opportunity presented itself. Here she is at our friends' (Kelly and Grant McCaleb) awesome pool with their daughter--and her B.F.F.--Cate. If we had this pool I don't think you'd ever drag me away to clean the house or shop for groceries, or do anything responsible... I'd surely die of sun cancer if I were out in the sun as much as I'd like to be. We're hoping Kennedy will get braver as she has more and more experiences with water and swimming; we may even do swim lessons. I know her Dad wants her to be a swimmer because he loves swimming and water.

I can totally see Kennedy saying "no, Mom, I don't wanna get in any more!" in that last shot. Very moment-capturing.
