This past week we've had Adam's grandparents (Denise's parents) here for a visit, and it's been a wonderful experience for all of us, especially Kennedy. We haven't seen them for years, and it's been so lovely to sit and chat and laugh and trade stories and cook together and have Doodle showing off and being read to and cuddled...
Pappa was the real star of the show for Kennedy. She's surrounded by plenty of women that love her (me/Mom, Grandmas, aunts, etc.), but she was all about Pappa being a "boy," and couldn't get enough of his hugs and attention. He's a wonderful great-grandpa too, so kind and gentle...really talks to her on her level and makes her laugh and feel important and loved.

Here she is waiting anxiously to see how Pappa likes her little "gift" (a random scribbling on a scrap of paper). I love her face and her little stance, all hopeful (and anticipating his approval).
Here's what she wanted...a hug from her buddy Pappa (look at that sweet satisfied smile! Love it!)
Kennedy really has been in heaven this past week. Here she is looking at pictures with her Mamma Patsy.

Got some pictures of Denise with her Mom...though they were both decidedly against having a camera pointed at them. I think they're beautiful though, don't you?
Hmmm, could they be related?
Of course their visit was filled with an important vacation staple: lots and lots napping! :):):)

That's some classic stuff! I'm sure Patsy and Denise don't mind you POSTING these pictures that they were so strongly opposed to in the first place, eh? heheheh. But you have to love Kennedy's sincere interaction with them-- she's so loveable!
