So, we knew this deployment with a newborn & two-yr-old was going to be super-tough. But what we didn't know is that a wonderful girl, who's family we've come to know & love here in Hawaii, would end up being such a helpful, lovely friend to us all. This is JoJo; our little rescuing angel.
She truly adores all my kids, and wow do they love her back! Kennedy, Schaffer, & even little Drew all light up whenever they see her or hear her chipper voice.
She's always asking to hold little baby Drew (um, yes 'mamm you may!) and plays with Kennedy & Schaffer for hours on end. She is a welcome sight after I've trudged through a long day. She'll say things like, "why don't I watch them while you take a shower?" or "let me make them dinner while you nurse the baby." She's just too good to be true. Seriously.
Both Kennedy & Schaffer scream her name every single time the doorbell rings. It's so cute how much they adore her.
She's only thirteen, but looks and acts much older. She's so aware of the influence she has on the kids, especially Kennedy (& I'm grateful that she's determined to always be a good one). She's obviously beautiful, but she's also & funny & smart...charismatic to boot. She's an awesome volleyball player & has so many other talents that she readily shares with others. It's just impossible not to love her. We really do.
Someone was definitely looking out for us when we met wonderful JoJo & her fantastic family.
