Knowing Dad was leaving for a year made us slow down & enjoy the simple stuff. Like eating junk food & just chillin.'
We do like junk food around here. Greasy hamburgers & fries are Schaffer's favorite. Or as he calls them, "rrreyes." Yum.
Adam calls Schaffer his "shadow," because everywhere he goes, Schaffer goes. He can't even check his email without his son laying across his lap making sure he has all of Dada's attention

How did I end up with such handsome men in my life?
Having Dad take some leave before deployment was awesome. So many chances to snuggle & appreciate one another. How was life any good without this family?
